We held a Party before and after the 15th Annual YOKOHAMA HOT ROD Custom Show 2006(HCS) which is also a very fun event compared to HCS. Please refer to the MOONEYES Mail Magazine for Report on 2006 HCS and the like to focus on the party before/after the show.
"Little
Get Together Party" is held on Saturday night before the HCS as it started out to make party for communicating between the guests from abroad and entrants from three years ago. This year we hosted a party and used the space around the stage like we did last year.

This year U.S. Guest Show Cars, and bikes rode into the event area including: USA AMD World Champion SAGA, KYUSHU for Southern Japan's Chicara Motorcycles made '39 U base HD making its debut run in Japan and ride on to the stage. There were many people running to watch this scene as the bikes drove in. The party was getting very exciting at hearing that sound of all guests machine that cannot be heard on Show day.
Also on the day of party, Paul Cox of Indian Larry Legacy and Danny Takahashi of Sinners had their Birthday and on the day before was Keino Sasaki of Indian Larry Legacy had birthday so we had surprise Happy Birthday cakes for the three, There were live music played by The El Caminos and closed to 300 people including guest were having a good time. There were many people at party from abroad, from USA, France, Australia, Germany, UK and more. It was a grand party indeed, as friends spent time with each other inside the car show area with show cars and show bikes on display.
Next is "the
Party after the show" held at MOON
Cafe on the day after the show. It was originally started as a farewell party for all invited guests on the Monday after the show every year, but recently there are not just invited guests but various other people had decided to joined this party.

This time there were members of the Bean Bandits, Julien editor from France Super
VW Magazine, Michael and Frank who came from Germany to see the show, Mr. Oikawa, Editor of Cruisin'
Magazine Japan, Mr. Yone from Bull
Original, more groups and people who came by just hearing word of mouth that there was a party. So it became crowdwd in the small 28 seat cafe which quickly filled with people. There were much more people as evident in this photo taken at party. MOON Cafe's alcohol and foods were almost all sold out as can be imagined from the picture. This party and HCS scene from last year are on brand new DVD on sale "Hot
Rod Havoc II" so please experience this scene by this DVD and you will agree that the before and after event of HCS is also as exciting as HCS itself.
The crazy party weekend finally ends when all guests fly home leaving typhoon Yokohama Honmoku to rest in peace for awhile. Looking forward to the next year! |
