We were astounded to say the least as I think anyone who was there was, at the turnout for our show at Irwindale Speedway on December 9th, 2006. We knew it would be bigger then the previous year as always is the case for this event which has caused us to seek a new hosting facility too accommodate the growing attendance for the show almost every few years but this year it exceeded anyone’s expectations. We heard unofficially that this was largest event the Speedway has ever held. Honestly we are still scratching our heads as too how this show became so big. Someone said the show seems to have a soul of it’s own and that maybe the best way to describe it. Even the big man upstairs seemed to hold the weather off until the show ended and then let it rain allowing a beautiful sunny day for this event.

Besides are usual venue this year we added something extra. Drag Racing! With this added element the show really felt nostalgic!!! Hot rods and customs lined up next to the drag strip in a picture perfect moment like long ago. Not to mention the sexy pin up girls parading and posing on whitewalls and fenders! Eye candy everywhere!

The quality of cars was amazing and I am sure it was impossible to see all of them that day. We have not received the actual number of attendees but a rough estimate maybe 1000+. There was just too many cars to actually look at extensively this day.

Part of the success of the show has been though the efforts of a lot of people who have been coming to the show since it’s roots and helping through their talents, donating time and effort in creating something extraordinary for everyone to enjoy. Thanks to the artists for donating their time to create such cool auction pieces. Thanks to the bands played some great tunes while people rested and ate in the beer garden. Thanks to the good looking women who entered the pin-up contest, giving the show an extra boost. Thanks to the racers who showed us some awesome nostalgic drag racing. Thanks to the volunteers for helping with parking control.

And a Big Thanks to everyone who came that day, making it a truly amazing event.
